About the Caris Foundation

The Caris Foundation is a Texas Non-Profit Private Foundation. It was established in Irving, Texas, in 2002 to aid the impoverished people by providing basic needs. In doing so, the foundation seeks to collaborate with
existing local entities that understand the basic needs
of their community and can implement solutions that
are culturally relevant and sustainable.  

In considering the basic needs of a community, the Caris Foundation initiates and collaborates in projects that assist in these four major areas:
 

• Medical – We desire to help communities who have very little or no access to medical services.
   
• Housing – We focus on individuals or communities who encounter a safety or health risk due to their current living condition.
   
• Nutrition – We look for projects that provide clean water or a sustainable food source. 
   
• Welfare – We look for poverty reduction methods that empower residents to enhance the standard of living for their community.
