In cooperation with the Paul Carlson Partnership (associated with the Covenant Evangelical Church), the Caris Foundation is funding the reconstruction of six clinics in the Ubangi Region of northern Congo. Formerly, the group operated about 80 such clinics in-country, but during the recent civil war, these clinics were looted and either damaged or destroyed. Rehabilitation of the clinics will include cement floors, metal roofs, refrigeration, water purification, solar panels, and basic lab equipment. Such clinics will provide this poverty-stricken and war-torn area with the beginnings of a renewed infrastructure.
