Momma Jo's Orphanage

The Caris Foundation provided funds to the Chinese Agape Foundation for the development of an orphanage in Biyang, China. Momma Jo's Orphanage houses 85 kids as well as a dozen elderly people who have no other means of support. The building complex is quite modern for its location, with its own freshwater well and a solar hot-water heater. Most appreciated are the kitchen facilities, because instead of the usual charcoal burning stoves, the orphanage now has gas stoves and ovens.
